FastBusinessFiling is a business document filing service operated by Fast Filing Group LLC, a Florida limited liability company based in Fort Myers. We prepare and file business formations, S-corp elections, EIN applications, sales tax registrations, trade name filings and state annual reports in all 51 US jurisdictions, for a flat service fee with every government fee itemised separately and passed through at cost. We are not a law firm, not an accounting firm, and not affiliated with any government agency.
Why the pricing is shaped like this
The formation industry has settled on a model that is hard to argue with commercially and hard to defend honestly. Advertise the filing at zero, bundle a registered agent that renews at $125 to $249 a year, and let the anniversary date do the rest. The customer who reads the footnotes is fine. Everyone else is paying for a decade of something they were told was free.
We charge $100 to form an LLC and $50 for most other filings, once. The registered agent is $99 a year, optional, and sits next to a free option to name yourself, which is what most people should pick. Nothing renews unless you asked for it. That is a worse business on paper than the alternative, which is precisely why we publish dated comparisons with the competitors' own numbers on them, including the two places where they beat us.
Where our numbers come from
Every state filing fee on this site was read from that state's own agency and stamped with the date it was checked. Not from an aggregator, not from a competitor's blog post, and not from last year's version of the same page. All 51 jurisdictions get rechecked on a schedule, and your total is recalculated from the same table at checkout, so the figure you are charged is the one in force that day rather than the one we published.
Where we do not know something, the page says so. There are no processing-time promises on this site for filings we do not control, because the only honest version of that number is "it depends on the state this week".
What we will not do
- Tell you whether an LLC, an S-corp or a sole proprietorship fits your situation. That is advice, and it needs someone licensed to give it.
- Recommend forming in Wyoming or Delaware to somebody who lives and works somewhere else.
- Charge you for a filing your state does not require. The order form checks, and declines the money.
- Enrol you in a subscription as a side effect of buying a filing.
- Send a social security number to our payment processor. Where the IRS requires one, it is encrypted on arrival and used only on the form it was collected for.
